Meath's Fiona Hickey of FAH Chartered Accountants won big at national accounting awards.
The tax specialist firm won Small Practice of the Year in the Irish Accountancy Awards 2022 and took home the overall prize of Practice of the Year. A massive achievement for the Ashbourne, Co. Meath based business.
This was a huge moment for Fiona Hickey and her firm. The Irish Accountancy Awards recognise and celebrate excellence in the accountancy profession in Ireland. The winners were announced at the gala awards at The Clayton Hotel, Burlington Road, Dublin.
Managing Partner and owner of FAH Chartered Accountants Fiona Hickey says: "We are so grateful for the awards for recognising our achievements in accountancy. Not only did we win Small Practice of the Year, but they awarded us the overall prize of Practice of the Year! To win against medium and large practices throughout Ireland is an honour for myself and my colleagues."
FAH Chartered Accountants started in March 2014 and has seen growth year on year.. This business growth was bolstered by their exciting new premises in mid 2021, along with positive staff and client relationships and ongoing investment in systems and processes to ensure optimal operations.
The firm prides itself on its innovation and customer focus. The firm has consistently shown innovation within the practice to streamline the services provided to clients. Finally, corporate social responsibility (CSR) is a very important part of FAH Chartered Accountants. Fiona is the third generation of her family to have a business in Ashbourne. As such, she has a very strong connection to the locality and the clubs, schools and other causes in the local community. Fiona understands the crucial role her business plays in the transition to more sustainable economies and societies..
FAH Chartered Accountants supports initiatives such as being Lead Sponsor of Cumann Leadoige Ashbourne Tennis Club, sponsorship of Under 12 team at Donaghmore Ashbourne GAA club, sponsorship of Ashbourne Baseball International Tournament, supporting local schools, assisting local families in need through providing the local St Vincent de Paul conference with financial donations and the recent appointment to the Diversity and Inclusion Committee of Chartered Accountants Ireland.
